Eva was one of my first Spanish teachers when I studied abroad in Costa Rica almost 8 years ago. Since then, I have taken several classes with her and would recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Spanish of any level. My experience taking classes with Eva has always been fun and positive. Eva’s approach is structured, engaging, and tailored to the needs and interests of the individual.

Eva is an amazing Spanish teacher! She leads very well-rounded lessons with fun activities and meaningful discussions that help you improve your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills. She tailors her instruction to your weaknesses as well as to your interests and goals. She is an observant and kind teacher. I highly recommend working with her!

Eva is an incredible Spanish teacher. I took lessons from her in Monteverde, CR while I was working as a teaching assistant at the Cloud Forest School. Then, when I moved back to the states I took one-on-one lessons with her online. She is very smart, easy to talk to, and will work with you on your individual needs as a student. When I began taking classes with her I was nervous because I felt like my Spanish skills were lacking, but she made me feel at ease instantly by getting to know me and helping me get to know her on a personal level. I highly recommend Eva to anyone who wants to learn Spanish, no matter what your beginning level may be.

Eva and I first met in 2015 when I was interning abroad at The Cloud Forest School, where I took in-person Spanish classes with her. Eva's classes were so memorable that I ended up contacting her 5 years later when I decided to take online Spanish classes. She is an amazing Spanish teacher and she has experience teaching all ages, from preschool to adults. She takes the time to explain grammar rules in detail and is very knowledgeable about the exceptions to the rules. She takes time to learn her students' interests and incorporates them into her classes by picking relevant podcasts and stories to assist with learning. She is a great storyteller herself and is a very engaging conversationalist. She also finds ways to make her classes fun with interactive online activities and games. Her classes involve a great mixture of practicing speaking, writing, reading, and listening in Spanish. She is always looking for additional resources and is always looking for ways to get better and better at teaching! I would recommend her as a teacher to anyone who would like to learn or improve upon their Spanish.

I’m still in the beginning stages of my lessons but Eva is sharp, personable and makes the lessons fun! I highly recommend her as a Spanish teacher and tutor!

Eva is the best Spanish as a Second Language teacher there is! In a school setting, she taught both of my daughters. As young adults they are both fully bilingual now and work and study in both languages. Eva also taught me (it's a lot harder when you are 50 and have never learned a second language). Although I still cannot claim fluency, I currently live and work in Costa Rica and have Eva to thank for all of my Spanish acquisition. Her classes use diverse approaches to learning catering to a variety of learning styles. She is amazing. I have recommended Eva to many newcomers to our community and they have all learned so quickly!

I've enjoyed my year of classes with Eva. She is so patient while I learn. She is always willing to adjust homework to fit my schedule. When life outside class gets busy we use time in class to learn what I can in a low stress environment. It's just fun!

Eva is an excellent teacher. She is patient with me whenever I forget things and will explain a concept until I feel comfortable with it.
I took Spanish in high school & college—for a total of 4 years—and in the 1 year I’ve been learning from Eva I’ve learned more than I did in those 4 years. There are a lot of concepts I always struggled with and she’s helped me understand them a lot better.
